Edward Chao, DO
Clinical Professor, Medicine
University of California, San Diego

Dr. Chao, a clinician investigator and educator, is Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. His main research interest in diabetes is improving the design of and access to emerging technology to help patients better monitor glucose and enhance their engagement. He is the Immediate Past Chair of the American Diabetes Association's Clinical Centers and Programs Professional Interest Group. Dr. Chao has been awarded an Accelerating Innovations to Market Grant, an Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute Grant, and Academy of Clinician Scholars Faculty Development Award, all from the University of California, San Diego.
