WEBINAR SERIES

Maternal Health Equity Three-Part Webinar Series

OVERVIEW

The rising incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in marginalized communities presents a critical challenge for health care providers. Social determinants of health, limited access to care, and provider bias often leave women in these communities vulnerable to poor maternal and infant outcomes. To address these challenges, we are launching a timely and impactful webinar series designed to equip health care professionals with the knowledge and tools to provide equitable, culturally respectful care.

This three-part series will explore the complexities of GDM, from preconception risk management and early detection to optimizing care during pregnancy and continuing through postpartum support. Through a health equity lens, the series will emphasize strategies to reduce disparities, eliminate bias in care delivery, and leverage the power of allied health professionals and community-based resources.

Our expert panel will share their insights on how best to support women at every stage of the GDM journey. From early screening to postpartum diabetes prevention, each session will provide actionable steps to enhance care for this at-risk population.
