OVERVIEW

The Integrating Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Into Personalized Nutrition for Diabetes Care CE program is designed to support the healthcare team in primary care settings by enhancing their expertise through practical, case-based training. This program equips clinicians to interpret and apply CGM metrics, optimize insulin therapy decisions, integrate CGM insights into personalized nutrition counseling, recommend evidence-based eating patterns, and address barriers to implementation. Participants will learn to transform CGM from a data tool into a decision-making framework that enhances patient engagement and improves diabetes outcomes across diverse care settings.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Recommend evidence-based eating patterns (e.g., Mediterranean, DASH, low carbohydrate, plant-based) that support glycemic management and cardiovascular health.
  • Address barriers to effective CGM use and nutrition counseling, including patient access, health equity considerations, and HCP’s implementation challenges.
