Charlene Wallace is the ADA’s vice president of diabetes prevention, where she leads national efforts to prevent type 2 diabetes and advance health access. She drives innovation to scale and sustain the National DPP through the development of multisectoral partnerships with lifestyle change programs, health care professionals, and payers. In collaboration with payers, Charlene champions innovative payment strategies that expand coverage for lifestyle change programs, helping to improve the health of members and employees and reduce costs for organizations. She also oversees the ADA’s cooperative agreements with the CDC, guiding program development, evaluation, and collective impact initiatives.

Denise Campbell

Director of Diabetes Prevention

Denise Campbell is the ADA’s director of diabetes prevention, specializing in the sustainability of diabetes prevention programs and the development of payer strategies that drive long-term health and cost benefits. With extensive experience in value-based care and health program implementation, she works closely with health plans, professionals, and community partners to design scalable, data-driven models that improve population health outcomes. Denise is passionate about aligning clinical innovation with financial sustainability to ensure broader access to preventive care, particularly for at-risk populations.
