OVERVIEW

This webinar will explore the complex relationship between obesity and both chronic and acute pain. Faculty will discuss practical, person‑centered approaches to managing obesity when pain is present, including strategies to support engagement, tailor treatment plans, and coordinate care across disciplines. The discussion will also address how to safely promote and adapt physical activity for individuals experiencing pain, with an emphasis on reducing barriers, supporting function, and enhancing long‑term health outcomes

  • Identify common pain-related challenges that affect treatment, engagement, mobility, and patient confidence.
  • Explore practical strategies to individualize obesity care plans in the presence of pain, including adapting lifestyle, pharmacologic, and referral approaches
