ADA Member Exclusive Webinar—Join fellow American Diabetes Association® (ADA) professional members for a live, one-hour panel discussion, Moving the Needle: Exercise and Metabolic Health in Youth at Risk for Type 2 Diabetes.

This engaging session will explore the physiological mechanisms of type 2 diabetes in youth, with a focus on insulin resistance and pancreatic beta cell dysfunction. Participants will also review key risk factors—including obesity, family history, and the disproportionate impact on youth from racial and ethnic minority groups—and learn to identify evidence-based interventions for pediatric individuals, including lifestyle modification, pharmacologic therapies, and person-centered daily support.

The session is part of the Hands On: Tips to Improve Diabetes Care webinar series, which is available exclusively to ADA professional members and presented by the ADA’s Behavioral Medicine & Psychology, Diabetes in Primary Care, Exercise Physiology, Diabetes in Youth, and Diabetes Technology Interest Groups. The series is supported by funding from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.
