Diabetes Is Primary Ambassador Program—Pre-Workshop Learning

Diabetes Is Primary Case Study Modules

OVERVIEW

The Diabetes Is Primary® (DIP) Pre-Workshop Learning Modules are designed to prepare participants for the DIP Ambassador Workshop by building a strong foundation in evidence-based diabetes care. Grounded in the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) Standards of Care in Diabetes, these modules focus on key concepts in screening, classification, prevention, weight management, and person-centered care.

Completion of these required modules ensures that all participants enter the in-person workshop with a shared understanding of core clinical principles, allowing the live training to focus on practical implementation, including diabetes technology integration, team-based workflows, and clinic-level practice transformation.

Participants who complete the pre-work will be prepared to apply ADA-recommended strategies in real-world clinical settings and actively engage in designing workflows that improve diabetes care delivery and outcomes.

Diabetes Is Primary® (DIP) helps primary care professionals (PCPs) on the front lines of diabetes care master knowledge and strategies to improve patient outcomes. DIP is based on the ADA’s Standards of Care in Diabetes (SOC)—the gold standard in diabetes treatment. These guidelines, updated annually, ensure that patients receive up-to-date, evidence-based care.

The four new Diabetes Is Primary case study modules center around case studies involving different groups of people with diabetes. The case study modules feature roundtable video discussions, interactive knowledge checkpoints and are aligned with the 2025 Standards of Care updates.
