The Diabetes Is Primary continuing education program is the premier online educational program for primary care professionals from the American Diabetes Association®.
Please note that this bundle includes 9 CE modules that will be released between April and July 2023. The CE credit value of the bundle will be updated as modules are released. Participants have until November 30, 2022, to complete the modules at their own pace. Course Description: Diabetes Is Primary (DIP) helps primary care professionals (PCPs) on the front lines of diabetes care master knowledge and strategies to improve patient outcomes. DIP is based on the ADA’s Standards of Care in Diabetes (SOC)—the gold standard in diabetes treatment. These guidelines, updated annually, ensure that patients receive up-to-date, evidence-based care. Participants who complete this course will be prepared to put the latest evidence-based guidelines for diabetes care into practice. Target Audience: This program is intended for PCPs including primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, and other members of the primary care team who manage patients with diabetes. Although designed with PCPs in mind, the program provides an excellent foundation in diabetes care and is appropriate for any clinicians who are new to practice or seeking a refresher on the clinical management of diabetes.
