This four-part program is designed to help health care professionals stay up to date on the latest evidence-based guidelines on diabetes care. Complete this free online course at your own pace and gain critical knowledge on treating and managing cardiovascular disease (CVD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) in people living with type 2 diabetes. This interactive program is developed from the Standards of Care in Diabetes—2023 and will help you apply updated recommendations on diabetes, CVD, and CKD to real-life scenarios. This program is part of the Know Diabetes by Heart initiative.  

 

This four-part module program provides up-to-date knowledge through an expert-led interactive learning experience for treating cardiovascular disease (CVD) in people living with type 2 diabetes. The Cardiovascular Disease in Type 2 Diabetes for Health Care Professionals course will help you apply updated recommendations and guidelines on diabetes care to real-life scenarios.

Identify best practices in treating and managing CVD and CKD in people living with type 2 diabetes  


Topics include:

  • How to reduce cardiovascular risk in people with type 2 diabetes by setting and achieving management goals
  • The current guidelines for managing type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease
  • The relationship between type 2 diabetes and risk factors for patients with a history of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease or heart failure
  • Key strategies for managing diabetes and CVD through lifestyle management and motivational interviewing
