Learning Objectives:

Identify methods for engaging the whole person in diabetes care
Recognize the relationship between behavioral health and diabetes care
Identify effective communication in diabetes care.
Review how eating patterns affect behavioral health in diabetes
Recall the effects of anxiety, depression, and diabetes distress in people with diabetes
Recognize screening, referral, and behavioral interventions available for people with diabetes
Review community engagement and behavioral health support options for people with diabetes.
