Gestational Diabetes Mellitus: A Glimpse into the Future
Overview
Dr. Jacqueline LaManna will share her expertise as a provider and CDCES. This interactive discussion will review important early screening for diabetes in women who are pregnant as well as screening for gestational diabetes. She will address subsequent postpartum and the timeline for ongoing screening in women with a history of gestational diabetes. Leveraging these screening data will help to inform timely care and education for women into their future.

  • Develop a diabetes screening plan for pregnant women based upon assessed risks
  • Establish a follow-up clinical plan based upon results of diabetes screening during pregnancy.
