Raising the Standard: Advancing Obesity Care for Better Health Outcomes
OVERVIEW
This session introduces the Obesity Association, a division of the American Diabetes Association®, and its Standards of Care in Overweight and Obesity (Standards of Care) as a practical framework for improving outcomes and advancing high-quality, person-centered care.
Faculty examine how weight bias and stigma contribute to gaps in care, how evidence-based treatment pathways can guide obesity care, and how employers and payors can use the Standards of Care to inform benefit design, care management strategies, and measures of quality and health outcomes.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
