OVERVIEW

Join the ADA Diabetes in Youth Interest Group for an advocacy-focused discussion on navigating current barriers and challenges for youth with diabetes and their families in school and finances. Speakers will share insights and perspectives regarding advocacy tools that can be harnessed by healthcare professionals to improve health equity, reduce stigma and associated factors, and promote equitable access to care and support. This discussion hopes to inspire attendees and demonstrate how healthcare professionals can be change agents in their institutions / for their patients.
