OVERVIEW

The American Diabetes Association's®️ Diabetes Technology: Updates from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) program is designed to help the diabetes care team on the front lines of primary care master the latest evidence-based recommendations for the implementation and management of cutting-edge diabetes technology

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Improve the implementation and utilization of continuous glucose monitoring for people living with diabetes using an individualized approach to improve patient outcomes.
  • Apply best practices to streamline the integration of continuous glucose monitoring into the clinical workflow.

MODULES

MODULE 1

This module discusses the basics of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), the currently available CGM systems in the U.S., and identifying appropriate candidates for CGM.

MODULE 2

This module discusses the impact of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) use on diabetes-related outcomes and how to utilize CGM data to maximize its use in your practice. 

MODULE 3

This module discusses continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)–based glycemic metrics and consensus metric targets, how to interpret standard CGM data, and how to assess time in range and glycemic patterns to rapidly evaluate glycemic management. 

MODULE 4

The CGM Case Study Program, builds upon the foundational knowledge gained in CGM Technology Courses, this program offers a unique opportunity to apply that knowledge in real-world scenarios through a series of engaging case studies. Participants will explore both professional and personal CGM initiation along with data interpretation, exploring diverse case studies that reflect the complexities and nuances of real-life situations.
