Culinary Medicine - A New Ingredient for Diabetes Care      

     

OVERVIEW

This informative webinar introduces learners to the relatively new field of culinary medicine. Experts in the field review the evidence related to culinary medicine and impacts on chronic disease prevention, management, and treatment. Additionally, the evidence available related care of patients with diabetes is presented.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Identify key components of culinary medicine.
  2. Describe the literature supporting culinary medicine as an efficacious approach to disease prevention, management, and/or treatment.
  3. Describe existing evidence supporting culinary medicine with relation to diabetes.
  4. Explain why culinary medicine has great potential for fostering positive patient behavior change.
