The Incretins and Weight Management for Type 2 Diabetes program will increase knowledge of current management and prevention strategies for diabetes and weight management, including lifestyle and medical therapies, effective counseling techniques, and the role of incretin therapy.
Course Description: Currently, there are effective medical interventions and therapies for weight management, but they remain underutilized due to low clinician knowledge, comfort, and experience utilizing them. ADA is positioned as a respected and trusted authority in diabetes as well as a provider of continuing medical education for health care professionals.
The program will increase knowledge of current management and prevention strategies for diabetes and weight management, including the role of incretin therapy.
Target Audience: This program is intended for primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, and other members of the primary care team who manage patients with diabetes.

- Module 2: Diabetes and Weight Management Part 1
- Module 3: Behavioral Change and Weight Management
- Module 4: Diabetes and Weight Management Part 2
End Date: Participants have until November 30, 2024, to complete the modules at their own pace.
