Behavioral Health in Diabetes Care 2025
This program is designed to enhance the whole person approach to diabetes care by increasing knowledge of diabetes care interventions and integrating behavioral health best practices into different clinical environments. This is a 7-module online learning program for certified diabetes care and education specialists (CDCES), social workers, and other members of the diabetes care team.

Designed for certified diabetes care and education specialists (CDCESs), social workers, and the broader diabetes care team, the course focuses on practical, compassionate care that addresses physical and emotional needs.

  • Identify key behavioral health best practices  
  • Describe the role of behavioral health best practices in diabetes care across different clinical settings  
  • Demonstrate how to integrate behavioral health interventions into diabetes management   
  • Commit to implementing at least one new strategy for improving whole-person diabetes care into clinical practice
