This recorded webinar introduces the Obesity Association, a division of the American Diabetes Association®, and its Standards of Care in Overweight and Obesity (Standards of Care) as a practical framework for improving outcomes and advancing high-quality, person-centered care. 

Faculty examine how weight bias and stigma contribute to gaps in care, how evidence-based treatment pathways can guide obesity care, and how employers and payors can use the Standards of Care to inform benefit design, care management strategies, and measures of quality and health outcomes.

• Recognize how obesity-related stigma and misconceptions contribute to gaps in care and how the Standards of Care supports a person-centered, evidence-based approach.  
• Apply Standards of Care-aligned treatment pathways to improve clinical outcomes, including but not limited to cardiometabolic health.    
• Identify how implementing the Standards of Care can improve quality of care, patient experience, and broader health outcomes relevant to payors and employers.
